Summit County is one of the most scenic counties in Colorado.  To many, Summit County IS Colorado's high country, home to four world-class ski resorts and some of the highest mountain peaks in Colorado.  Though Summit County's reputation was made by its world-class ski mountains - including A-Basin, Copper, Keystone and Breckenridge and Vail just minutes away - Summit County's warm weather outdoor activities are just as fabulous, including hiking, biking, boating and the don't-miss thrill of Summit County Rafting .

Summit County Rafting Choices
All four rivers that Highside Adventure Tours serves are convenient to Summit County, which is just 90 minutes west of Denver on I-70.   Our Summit County rafting options include:

• The Blue River -The Blue River is Summit County's only river and one of the few opportunities for high country river rafting in the state.  Exquisitely scenic, our Blue River Rafting trip boasts some of the most gorgeous views of some of the highest peaks in Colorado, including the stunning Gore Range.  This is a great Summit County rafting trip for a half day adventure.  Click on our Blue River page to learn more.  This trip meets at our Summit County Office in Frisco, Colorado.

• The Colorado River -this Summit County rafting adventure meets at our Frisco office in Summit County, and then together we drive roughly an hour to our remote canyon put-in. The Colorado River is one of the classic rivers in the United States. • Arkansas River - this trip begins about 1.25 hours south of Summit County in Buena Vista, Colorado.  Buena Vista means "beautiful view" in Spanish, and they're not kidding! The 14,000 foot Collegiate Peaks and the Arkansas River valley are simply beautiful.  Along with the thrill of rafting the most popular commercial river in the U.S., the surroundings help make the trip even more worthwhile.  Buena Vista is a fun town to visit, and don't miss the two fabulous hot springs right outside of town.  When combined with your trip to Summit County, rafting the Arkansas and exploring the Collegiate Peaks area, will absolutely treat you to the best Colorado and the Rocky Mountains have to offer!
